So Me is the reason a whole era of dance music looks the way it does. As art director of Ed Banger Records he drew the identity of the label — Justice's cross among it — then carried that hand-drawn, scribbled-over sensibility into video.
'We Are Your Friends' for Justice vs. Simian won the MTV Europe Music Award for Best Video in 2006 and set the template: cheap, funny, unmistakably his. 'Day 'n' Nite' put Kid Cudi's daydreams on screen as loose animation, and 'DVNO' — made with Yorgo Tloupas and Machine Molle — is four minutes of pure television-ident nostalgia, a logo parade with no performance at all.
In 2025 he directed his first narrative feature, Banger, for Netflix — a satire of the dance-music world he helped make legible.
