Fernando Nogari
Fernando Nogari works out of São Paulo and came to music video from art film — he took an MFA in directing at the Film Factory in Sarajevo, studying under Béla Tarr, and his commissioned work still carries that patience.
He casts locally and shoots real places. 'Baila Conmigo' for Selena Gomez and Rauw Alejandro was filmed with a Brazilian cast in Icapuí, on the coast of Ceará, with Gomez directed remotely from Los Angeles. 'Alibi', with Sevdaliza, Pabllo Vittar and Yseult, is built around ritual and the collective body rather than performance.
He is the least documented director on this site, and that is worth stating plainly: this profile lists only credits confirmed against more than one source. It is a working career in progress, not a retrospective.
