Amos Le Blanc
Amos Le Blanc is a Toronto director and the founder of dream inc. He built his name on music videos with a physical, dance-floor charge — Thugli, Keys N Krates, AutoErotique — where the edit moves like the track and colour is pushed until it hums.
His run of awards came fast: 'Run This' for Thugli took Gold First Prize at the Cannes Young Director Award in 2015 and a Vimeo Staff Pick, the same year-span in which he was named MMVA Director of the Year. He won Cannes YDA Gold a second time for Young Empires' 'The Gates'.
The work since has widened — 35mm film for Glass Forest's 'I Remember', long-form commercial work for Tiger Beer and the Toronto Eaton Centre — but the instinct is unchanged: build the image around the beat, then let it run.
He also shoots. Amos was cinematographer on Claire Edmondson's videos for Kandle ('Small') and Gold & Youth ('City of Quartz'), and on Mike Portoghese's 'Don't Bleed Me' for The Darcys — all three from the same 2011–2012 Toronto run, and all three collected here under his DOP credit.
